RTW 01 By A R E A
New York-based fashion brand A R E A released their brand new ready to wear collection titled RTW 01 on January 11. Unlike any other debut of their fashion collections, they’ve had since they were founded in 2014 by designers Beckett Fogg and Piotrek Panszczyk they didn’t have a runway show. Instead, they released short video clips on their Instagram and website of the beautiful and talented Leiomy Maldonado, a transgender woman known as the “Wonder Woman of Vogue”. This collection is stunningly beautiful with many of their signature crystal pieces reinvented to keep things A R E A fresh. That includes body jewelry and one of the most sought after fashion accessories this past year, a mask, beautifully embellished with draped crystals. A R E A continues to reinvent classic pieces through their creative vision. This collection is different from their most previous Fall/Winter ‘20 collection with all of the clothing pieces black and ivory. Still, with the theme of crystal embellishments and timelessness, this collection only consists of 11 pieces. The Fall/Winter ‘20 collection ranged in a multitude of textures, colors, and prints. Here are a few of the pieces that stood out in their RTW 01 collection.
The “Crystal Stitched Track Pants”
These pants are beautifully made from the thick stitching on the front to the crystal embellishment that runs down both sides of the pants. This classic jersey track pant style with an A R E A touch mixes classic with luxury, fashion, and relaxation. You could pull these track pants off with a jersey styled stylish tee or for a more A R E A look, pair it with their crystal stiched cutout corset, a piece that is also included in this RTW 01 collection.
The “Crystal Baguette Cropped Blazer”
This ivory colored wool blazer is such a unique piece with the crystals outlining the bottom of the jacket and then creating a drape effect with the crystals hanging from the bottom of the blazer. The low cut that leads into a hook feature on the front in combination with the masculine shoulder vibe, stunning, sexy, and so well done.
The “Asymmetrical Crystal Halter Mini”
This black mini dress with the asymmetrical halter feature that is connected to a crystal necklace like chain that ends in the back with a larger crystal. The low cut on the back of the dress is super sexy. This mini could be paired with a beautiful pair of high knee boots or a classic thin strap single soled heel.
